Exilis Treatment

BTL’s Exilis monopolar radiofrequency treatment offers a non-invasive form of treatment for the reduction of wrinkles and for the reshaping of targeted fat deposits. Exilis also complements pre and post treatment in invasive liposuction techniques. Exilis treatments can postpone or eliminate the need for invasive surgery particularly for patients with mild to moderate fat deposits and who may not be candidates for lipoplasty (liposuction) or who have less skin excess and prefer to put off the more invasive facelift. During each session, the Exilis computer-controlled device is guided over the treatment area. Patients feel a warming sensation as the energy is delivered to the deeper layers of skin. The ability to focus the energy on specific areas at the targeted depth of penetration makes Exilis a highly effective aesthetic solution. The underside of the applicator provides cooling to your skin’s surface, and the built-in thermometer lets the operator maintain constant temperatures keeping you more comfortable during the treatment. The Exilis procedure takes from 30-60 minutes depending upon the size of the area to be treated. Typically, 4 treatment sessions within four to six weeks are recommended. People over 60 and those that have had major weight loss will need more sessions.

Following your Exilis Therapy you may notice some mild redness in the treatment area. This usually disappears in a few hours. You may resume normal activities immediately. Patients are also asked to increase water intake and to engage in light physical activity like walking to maximize cosmetic results.
